Aaron Lovett is a writer, director, editor, and producer based in Los Angeles who makes character-driven thrillers and horror movies exploring themes of isolation, desire, and the monster within. His debut short film DEMONBOY, a supernatural thriller about loneliness in the digital age, began its festival run with a premiere at the BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival, followed by an official selection at BFI Flare and over 20 other reputable film festivals globally. His newest short film, a homoerotic gothic fairytale titled CALIGULA, is awaiting its festival premiere.
Aaron's scripts have received recognition in numerous competitions for emerging writers, including the Academy Nicholl Fellowship (top 2%), the ScreenCraft Horror competition (top 1%), the ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship, and the Austin Film Festival screenwriting competition.
By day, Aaron works as a video producer/editor, and has shot and edited videos for Playboy, BuzzFeed, NowThis, VaynerX, Morning Brew, MakeMake Entertainment, and a host of other clients.
